Markers
VoxMark’s markers are ordinary comp or sequence markers, ranged over each caption and coloured by voice. VoxMark tags its own invisibly, so decluttering and recreating them never touch markers you placed yourself. (Clear All Comp Markers is the exception — it clears everything.)
The marker buttons

| Save & Clear | Stores the comp’s VoxMark markers in memory and removes them from the timeline. Memory is per comp or sequence — switch around freely; each keeps its own saved set, even if you rename it. The transcript stays in the Navigate tab. |
| Restore | Puts the saved markers back — only ever into the comp they came from. The button shows how many are saved for the current comp. |
| Clear All Comp Markers | Removes every marker on the comp. The transcript stays in the Navigate tab, ready to recreate them. |
| Create markers from transcript | Lays markers from the saved transcript — after a transcript-only run, or after clearing them. Run it again and it replaces its own markers; yours are left alone. |
| Rebuild from markers | Re-reads the markers on the timeline into the transcript, replacing the saved transcript. Useful for projects made before VoxMark saved transcripts separately. |

A transcription, or Create markers from transcript, is one undo step for up to 200 markers. Bigger jobs are created in batches of 200 — with progress in the status bar — and each batch is its own undo step.
Decluttering the timeline
Section titled “Decluttering the timeline”From the Navigate tab:
- Aa hides the caption text on the markers, leaving clean coloured ranges. Click again to bring the text back — VoxMark keeps a copy, including the text of markers you placed yourself.
- ◆ collapses ranged markers to single frames, and back.
Both are fully reversible.
If markers and transcript disagree
Section titled “If markers and transcript disagree”If the number of markers on the timeline no longer matches the saved transcript — you deleted some by hand, say — VoxMark tells you when it loads. Use Rebuild from markers to take what’s on the timeline, or Create markers from transcript to resync the timeline to the transcript.
