SRT & captions
Export SRT
Section titled “Export SRT”Export SRT writes a standard subtitle file that works anywhere subtitles do. It carries a small VoxMark header with the exact frame rate, the source app and the voice names, which other tools ignore and VoxMark uses.
Captions land at the right time even when your audio doesn’t start at the beginning of the timeline.
Import SRT
Section titled “Import SRT”Import SRT turns any .srt file into markers and a saved transcript. VoxMark’s header is read
when present; plain SRTs from other tools work too. Speaker names written as [Name] at the
start of a caption become voices.
Importing over an existing transcript replaces it — the old one is kept first in
Chroma/VoxMark/replaced/. See Your project’s VoxMark data.
Convert to Captions (Premiere Pro)
Section titled “Convert to Captions (Premiere Pro)”Convert to Captions turns your markers into a caption track on the sequence in one step, at
the same times as the markers. It writes <sequence>_captions.srt beside your project and has
Premiere import it — keep that file with the project, as Premiere links to it.
Premiere’s own Create captions from transcript only reads Premiere’s speech-to-text and never sees VoxMark’s markers, which is why this button exists.
The Cinema 4D round trip
Section titled “The Cinema 4D round trip”Drop an exported SRT into VoxMark for Cinema 4D, or another After Effects or Premiere install, and the markers land on the same frames with the same voices and colours — no frame-rate guesswork.
The trial creates markers, transcripts and captions as normal, but does not include SRT import and export.
