Premiere Pro
Everything in this guide works in Premiere Pro, with a sequence in place of a comp: scanning and transcription, coloured sequence markers, the Navigate tab (which follows live playback), voices, caption editing, timeline declutter, per-sequence memory, the saved transcript and SRT import and export.
What’s different
Section titled “What’s different”- Set In/Out to caption sets the sequence In and Out points — Premiere’s equivalent of After Effects’ work area.
- Convert to Captions turns your markers into a caption track in one step. See SRT & captions.
- Premiere doesn’t tell scripts which tracks are soloed. Scanning shows when it can only see muted tracks; solo is still honoured by the render itself.
- Export SRT writes to a known place beside your project and reveals it, rather than asking where to save.
